Financial Aid

Financial Aid is available to full-time students in a variety of forms including graduate assistantships, student employment, and loans.

Graduate Assistantships: The College of Business Administration, in cooperation with the Graduate College, offers a significant number of assistantships to outstanding full-time MBA candidates.  Please refer to the enclosed Q & A: Graduate Assistantships in the College of Business Administration form for detailed information.  GA appointments are made independently from admission decisions and are based on application credentials, GMAT score, grade point average, work experience, reference letters, and career objectives.  To be considered for an assistantship, a complete admission application must be submitted by February 15th (for international applicants) or March 15th (for domestic applicants) and a student must be admitted to the program.

Student Employment: Graduate students can apply for employment and loans.  The College Work-Study program is available to eligible students.  Please refer to the Office of Student Financial Aid for eligibility forms and information.  Regular employment positions are funded by the University and are available to graduate students registered for at least four credit hours regardless of financial aid eligibility.

Student Loans: Two long-term loan programs are also available.  The Perkins Loan and the Stafford Loan are available with financial need eligibility.  A Financial Aid Form must be filed to determine eligibility.  Students must be fully admitted to the Graduate College and be registered for at least four credit hours for the Stafford Loan and eight credit hours for Perkins Loan consideration.  Short-term loans are available to students for fees, books, or miscellaneous expenses.  Repayment is required within 45 days.  Students can apply for a short-term loan at the Office of Student Financial Aid.   If you are in the U.S. on only an F1 or F2 student visa, or only a J1 of J2 exchange visitor visa, or a G series visa (pertaining to international organizations), you are not eligible for federal student aid.
